isitors of fX Sudirman shopping mall in Central Jakarta were aghast as thick smoke appeared to be coming from the mall’s second floor on Wednesday.
A security guard at the mall said the smoke appeared at around 12 p.m.
An official from the mall’s management, Dony, said the smoke came from Kin Kara food stall and that the owner of the stall was questioned about the incident.
“The fryer caught fire, that’s why there was smoke,” Dony said on Wednesday, kompas.com reported.
“However, we didn’t call for firefighters. We put out the fire using the mall’s fire kit,” Dony said.
