“The main attractions are the Kerta Gosa Pavilion and Semarapura as a heritage tourist destination,” said Klungkung Regent I Nyoman Suwirta.

As the festival coincides with the 109th anniversary of the Puputan Klungkung monument and the 25th anniversary of Semarapura, there are plenty of art and culture shows performed by hundreds of artists.

“There is also an MSME [micro, small and medium enterprises] exhibition and a job fair, among other attractions,” added Suwirta.

The Tourism Ministry's deputy minister in charge of overseas promotion, I Gde Pitana, said this festival could improve the locals’ creativity in art, culture, craft and cuisine.

“Some of the villages will showcase ancient traditions, such as the Baris Jangkang and Sanghyang Jaran dances,” said Pitana. (kes)
