The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah Ubud hotel in Bali is offering hot air balloon rides over Bali.

Kompas.com reported that the balloon will fly 50 meters above ground and offer its passengers panoramic views of rice paddies, forests, Mount Agung and the homes of Ubud.

“Bali has everything: beaches, temples, volcanoes, rice paddies, barong, dancers and sacred forests. However, there are no balloon rides yet. It is the perfect way to see Ubud from up above,” said Deasy Swandarini, general manager of The Chedi Club Ubud.

The balloon is scheduled to fly three times per day, in the morning, afternoon and evening. It can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children under 12, with a certified pilot. The total weight must not exceed 230 kilograms.

The flights last between five to seven minutes, and cost Rp 2,100,000 (US$150) for two people in the morning and afternoon schedule. Breakfast or afternoon tea are included in the package.

Night flights cost Rp 2,800,000 ($200), including dinner for two people.

The hot air balloon rides are available until November. (wng)
