Study at one of Hong Kong’s best universities

smatullo Rahimov found out about the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) from his high school teacher in Tajikistan who had also studied in Hong Kong.
So, he took a closer look and was impressed by PolyU’s high academic ranking, global outlook and range of scholarships and exchange opportunities.
Ismatullo was awarded with the PolyU Entry Scholarship, which provided him sufficient funds to cover all his expenses. He felt humbled by this because it suddenly made everything he had dreamed of possible.
Academically, PolyU is top-tier — the numbers don’t lie. Its professors and other faculty members are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, Ismatullo said.
He also liked the university’s study culture, which is nicely balanced between academics and extracurricular activities.
Perhaps the best thing for Ismatullo is the wide variety of opportunities to experience work or study in other countries, such as exchange programs, summer schools, conferences and competitions. As a culture and communications major, he would like the opportunity to learn a new language and experience a new culture.
With PolyU’s connections, he has the option of going to countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Korea, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom.
“My graduation is still a long way off, but I’m already thinking about future job possibilities here, so I can explore the work culture of Hong Kong. The city is known as one of the best places to work,” he said.
