Mark Ruffalo 'fired' by 'Avengers 4' directors on Twitter Still from 'Avengers: Infinity War' (Disney/File)

T

he Avengers 4 director duo of Joe and Anthony Russo have fired Mark Ruffalo, who portrayed Bruce Banner/Hulk in the movie, via Twitter.

According to kompas.com, the move was due to Ruffalo disclosing the top-secret title and ending of the upcoming film when he was a guest on The Tonight Show on Saturday. Well, not actually, as the words he said related to the spoilers were heavily censored. However, the audience could be heard screaming and yelling enthusiastically the whole time, suggesting the excitement was real.

"Mark, you're fired," read the tweet of the @Russo_Brothers account.

The tweet is actually a reply to Mark's tweet to The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon on Friday, which read: "@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey. Please don’t get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M."

We will still have to wait whether Ruffalo has really been fired by the Russo Brothers, even though he had requested to discuss the matter further, "Guys... can we talk about this?"

Previously, Chris Evans, the Captain America actor, made news on Friday by tweeting a farewell note related to the film, which left many fans quite upset: "Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."

Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr. replied the day after with a photo of a Toy Story's Woody and Buzz Lightyear "To Infinity (War) and Beyond" image, captioning it, "We all know who the real sheriff in town is @ChrisEvans."

Avengers 4 is set to be released in cinemas on May 3, 2019. (kes)
