ith the security situation in Libya getting worse, Indonesian migrant workers are being evacuated to neighboring Tunisia.

PT Wijaya Karya Tbk corporate secretary Natal Argawan said his company had evacuated 201 construction workers from Libya to Tunisia. The workers were now at the Indonesian embassy in Tunis.

“We are evacuating the workers back to Indonesia on several flights because we have to wait for commercial flight tickets. But, we are doing everything we can to get them back to Indonesia safe and sound,” he said, as quoted by vivanews.com.

Natal said his company had recruited the workers to help build a shopping center in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. — JP
