US President Barack Obama has praised the Iranian oil embargo imposed by European nations on Monday and says the US will keep applying new penalties as well.
The US added new sanctions on Monday on Bank Tejerat, which is Iran’s third-largest bank. Although the US does almost no business with Iranian financial institutions, US sanctions help choke off Iran’s access to the international banking system. Iran needs access to that system to get paid for its oil.
Your comments:
It is a shame! Iran needs peaceful nuclear energy because oil isn’t a clean energy source.
If they wanted to wipe Israel off the map they would have done it already. They just say that to get handclaps from Muslim brothers.
This Islamic republic doesn’t wage Jihad with nuclear weapons. In the worst case they will only use them for self defense or after being provoked.
Or preventively if they know for sure they are a target.
Colin Powell acknowledged that he made a big mistake and he resigned. And Bush Jr. said “either you are with us or against us” because he assumed terrorism is for nobody useful. But we know better!
Everyone should have the bomb. That is fair and democratic and ensures the respect Iran deserves. But they need to get it fast because a successful Arab spring in Iran might end the nuclear program.
