JAKARTA: Indah Sita Nursanti, former member of trio Rida Sita Dewi (RSD), will perform as Dayang Sumbi in the musical Sangkuriang
AKARTA: Indah Sita Nursanti, former member of trio Rida Sita Dewi (RSD), will perform as Dayang Sumbi in the musical Sangkuriang.
The performance will be at the Taman Ismail Marzuki arts center in Central Jakarta on Feb. 1.
“I am so excited, because this is my first major role in a musical,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.
“I am also proud I could be involved in the musical, because this is also my alma mater,” the alumni of Bandung’s Parahyangan University said, referring to the university’s choir taking part in the musical.
Sangkuriang is directed by Wawan Sofwan, with Avip Priatna as conductor and Dian HP as composer.
Although Sita used to be a singer with RSD, she said she still needed a lot of practice because a musical required different vocal techniques.
“It’s not that easy. I never learned vocal techniques before, but I need it this time,” Sita said.
