The city administration provided two minibuses and nine trucks to help them move.
Kemayoran district head Iyan Sopiandi said that 31 families moved today. 'Alhamdulillah, the move went smoothly. Even though some residents complained, they still moved,' he said on Monday, as quoted by kompas.com.
He said that the city administration would move 120 families within a week so it could start the Setiong River normalization project.
However, several people complained about the apartment's poor condition. Endang, 23, said that she had asked for a different unit because her floors had holes. 'I left a proper house there [Kebon Kosong], how come I get this [as a replacement],' she said.
Yeyen, 32, who now resides in block D, on the second floor, said that her ceiling was leaking. 'I don't have any other option as my old house would often get hit by floods,' she said.
