AKARTA: Pop-jazz band Maliq & D'Essentials are planning limited vinyl and cassette releases of Musik Pop (Pop Music), following their sixth album's traditional CD-and-digital release in May.
'We will release 300 vinyl records and 300 cassettes,' drummer Widi Puradiredja said as quoted by kompas.com. 'Later, we will release official T-shirts ' our collaboration with painters.'
The plan is for the releases to become collector's editions.
'We've been thinking about [a vinyl relase] for a long time, but we weren't really sure about the market. Once we knew that collectors were really enthusiastic, we decided to make it come true.'
