ublicly listed industrial developer PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka (KIJA) says that it is seeking foreign partners to develop industrial areas outside Java in order to boost the country's regional economies.
'We are focusing our promotion [on foreign investors] to develop places outside Java because the potential is huge,' KIJA president director Setyono Djuandi Darmono said on Wednesday as quoted by kontan.co.id.
Setyono said that the company wanted to develop 100 new cities across the archipelago to help create new industrial estate zones.
The company has collaborated with a number of regional governments and local investors to develop industrial areas in the country.
'We want to be the partners of local leaders in developing their regions,' he continued. (***)
