he House of Representatives has been asked by the Democratic Party (PD) faction to summon Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said to clarify his statement on former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, which it called slanderous.
'The FD faction asks the relevant commissions to summon Sudirman Said to clarify all. We will open past files to assess his statement's validity,' kompas.com quoted secretary of the FD faction Didik Mukrianto as saying here on Tuesday.
He said the minister's statement was not supported by accurate data.
'We will ask relevant commissions to seek confirmation on the statement by the minister. We will reveal the truth so that the people are not confused by misleading information,' he said.
SBY has denied refusing to liquidate Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. (Petral) when he was in office. He said he had not received any proposal to liquidate the company. He added that he once set up a task force to fight the oil and gas cabal. (rms)(++++)
