mountain climber missing on Mount Semeru in East Java has been found by the search and rescue (SAR) team in the Sumber Mani area, not far from the Kalimati Post, on Thursday afternoon.

Daniel Saroha, 31, from Cilebut Barat village in Bogor went missing when climbing down from Mahameru peak.

"Alhamdulillah [thank God], the climber was found in good health in the Sumber Mani area," said Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) manager Ayu Dewi Utari on Thursday afternoon as quoted by tempo.co.

She added that Daniel would be evacuated immediately to the Ranupane Post.

Daniel went hiking on Saturday with 21 other climbers. On Monday afternoon, he was separated from the group while climbing down the peak. (kes)
