Filmmaker Mira Lesmana has added four new characters to the sequel of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (What'€™s with Cinta?) as original castmember Ladya Cherryl has dropped out the film.

'€œWe respect her decision to continue her studies,'€ Mira said, as reported by kapanlagi.com on Thursday.

The four new characters will be played by actors Christian Sugiono, Ario Bayu, model Sarita Thaib and newcomer Dimi Cindyastira.

Original castmembers returning to the film are Nicholas Saputra as Rangga and Dian Sastrowardoyo as Cinta, and Cinta'€™s friends who are played by Adinia Wirasti, Titi Kamal and Sissy Priscilia.

Mira, the scriptwriter and producer of the film, said shooting would start next week for the film set in Yogyakarta, Jakarta and New York.

The ever popular film'€™s release in 2001 marked the awakening of the Indonesian film industry.
