Tara Basro has been chosen to cohost the Amazing Race Asia Season 5. Tara will host the TV series alongside Allan Wu for a couple of episodes this season.
“Of course I am very happy and honored,” she said during a press conference for the show held at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta as quoted in kompas.com.
Tara’s role in the TV series will mark the first time that producers have chosen to add a cohost.
The 3 Srikandi (3 Heroines) actress said she never imagined she would get the
opportunity to be a part of the Amazing Race Asia.
“I am very excited to share the hosting duties with Allen,” she said. “I’ve only ever been able to watch the show on TV and I’ve always enjoyed it.”
The show’s fifth series will air in October on AXN. There will be 11 teams from seven countries across Asia competing with two teams — guitarist Rach and tour guide Vicky and best friends Louisa and Treasuri — representing Indonesia.
