akarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama showed up at City Hall on a Transjakarta vintage series bus on Tuesday, the first day that he returned to the administration to work after the election campaign.
"This is very good. You must try this bus," Ahok told reporters once he arrived at City Hall. He was picked up at the bus stop nearest to his house in Pantai Mutiara, North Jakarta, by PT Transjakarta president director Budi Kaliwono.
Ahok said the vintage bus was comfortable as it had padded seats and wide spaces.
He explained that the administration had teamed up with PT Transjakarta to launch 10 more buses modeled like buses from the 1980s and 1990s, adding to the two vintage buses already sourced.
With a capacity of 75 passengers, each bus will serve people from downtown areas, with the routes yet to be decided.
