resident Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla are opening the doors of the State Palace to the public on Sunday during the first day of Idul Fitri.
Both Jokowi and Kalla are wearing white shirts with black coats, sarongs and black peci (rimless cap).
Their spouses, First Lady Iriana and Mufidah Kalla, were wearing hijab.
Among the guests were foreign dignitaries, Indonesian Military (TNI) commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo, Financial Services Authority (OJK) chairman Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad, businessman and former trade minister Rahmat Gobel and Jakarta governor-elect Anies Baswedan.
The open house was to be held until 11 a.m. It was Jokowi’s first Idul Fitri celebration and open house at the State Palace since taking office in 2014.
He previously spent Idul Fitri in Aceh in 2015 and in West Sumatra in 2016. (tas)
