uring a visit to East Jakarta on Friday, Governor Anies Baswedan said he needed time to work on his campaign promises, hence, residents should be patient. He assured that he would fulfill all his promises.
Anies has 23 campaign promises that have resulted in hundreds of programs by the city administration together with his synchronization team. The programs are set to be completed within five years of their launch.
“I hope that all of you can wait for the implementation of the programs. Don’t ask me to finish all of them in only one month. If they could be finished in one month, then I would only be governor for one month,” Anies said at Ciracas Sports Arena, as quoted by kompas.com.
He added that the city administration was currently preparing some of his key programs, including the zero rupiah down-payment housing program, the Jakarta Smart Card Plus (KJP Plus) program and the OK Otrip (One Card One Trip) program.
Anies pledged that the administration would disseminate the information to the public when the programs' details were ready to be published. (vny)
