The Health Ministry announced 415 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 23,165.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 27 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 1,418.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 5,877.

The capital city recorded 89 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 1,655. Meanwhile, East Java reported 57 new cases, South Sumatra 56, West Sumatra 35, South Sulawesi 33 and South Kalimantan 28. 

The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (dfr/mfp)
