Individuals, community organizations and private companies are coming up with initiatives of their own as Indonesia faces an increasing number of COVID-19 cases, contributing what they can to help the country and its people to tackle the outbreak.

Graisena aid for affected families

The Indonesia Disaster Awareness Movement Foundation (Graisena) is running a fund-raising campaign via Instagram to provide aid to families whose breadwinners have been hospitalized.

The families it helps include those with members who have tested positive for the virus and those with members in self-isolation or under surveillance, said Graisena head Agung Firmansyah, according to a recent kompas.com report.
