ecognizing the significance of promoting a healthy lifestyle among students is crucial for educational institutions, serving as a vital indicator to achieve quality education, demanding attention from schools to ensure the well-being of their students.

In response to encouragement from teachers, AIA has launched the AIA Healthiest School program. Since its launch in 2023, this initiative has involved more than 800 elementary and junior high school across various regions in Indonesia, engaging in AIA Healthiest School learning modules.

This program aims to promote the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for students through modules that focus on four core pillars: Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyle, Mental Wellbeing and Health & Sustainability. These modules are distributed to participating schools in AIA Healthiest School.

Aligned with the Healthy School Campaign by the Education and Culture Ministry, AIA Healthiest School strives to raise awareness regarding the importance of adopting healthy habits from an early age.

"Maintaining the health of students plays an important role in attaining quality education. Through AIA Healthiest School, we are dedicated to supporting millions of families in Indonesia in leading healthier, longer, better lives. We are thrilled with the enthusiasm of schools participating in AIA Healthiest School. We hope this program will contribute to creating a better education ecosystem in Indonesia," said head of corporate communications and sustainability at AIA Lia Merdekawaty.

To deepen the understanding of a healthy lifestyle, AIA featured Shannon Moloney, international development manager at Tottenham Hotspur soccer club, to visit selected schools in Jakarta and Tangerang, Banten. Shannon educated students on the importance of maintaining nutritional balance and encouraged students to adopt an active lifestyle through coaching clinics to stay fit.

AIA Healthiest School encourages students to lead healthier lives, improving education and health quality. As part of the global campaign, this program is also implemented in five other countries besides Indonesia, namely Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong. AIA also invites schools to participate in the AIA Healthiest School competition, with the opportunity to win a total prize of US$100,000.
