Vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar emphasized the need to address farmers' challenges in 2024 during a gathering with his supporters.
"Neglected farmers must be addressed this year," he said as quoted by Republika.
Muhaimin made the statement while participating in the New Year’s Eve Hangout in Batu with Muhaimin in Batu, East Java, on Sunday.
He said he believed that agriculture was one of the sectors that demanded special attention, ensuring that each issue is promptly addressed within the national priority agenda.
Muhaimin stated that resolving issues in the microeconomic sector, such as agriculture, would significantly benefit the nation.
Muhaimin also shared his wish for the upcoming year.
“Personally, 2023 was a year of struggle. Hopefully 2024 will be a year of victory,” he said.
