Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo wants to create clothes that can be worn in tropical countries, such as Indonesia, as well as in countries with four seasons.
niqlo, a Japanese casual wear retailer, is closely observing its Indonesian market. Yukihiro Katsuta, group senior vice president of Uniqlo R&D, explained that the observation was necessary to support Uniqlo's new project in creating clothes that can be used in tropical countries, such as Indonesia, but can also be worn in countries that have four seasons.

As reported by kompas.com, Katsuta said, “We are closely monitoring our sales in your country. We feel that we can learn from your country. We want to know that [our products] can be sold and worn in other countries as well. This is one of our aims,” he added.
The vision was revealed at the Uniqlo LifeWear Fall/Winter 2016 Press Preview in Tokyo last week.
In February, the fashion retailer released a mobile app on iOS and Android platform for its Indonesian customers. The app mainly serves as one of the brand's means of communication with customers and contains information on store locations and the latest offers. (asw)
