arvel genius Brian Michael Bendis revealed last month that Tony Stark finally bequeathed his robust iron suit to a 15-year-old African-American genius named Riri Williams.

On the other hand, a lot of Marvel fans were intrigued if the female superhero would still be called Iron Man.

To answer their query, Iron Man author Brian Michael Bendis revealed the gutsy female wizard will be called Ironheart.

According to movie news site Wired, the marvelous moniker was suggested by Marvel’s chief creative officer, Joe Quesada. Bendis told the news site that after he narrated the touching story of Williams, Quesada thought of naming the character based on the “heart and soul” of the story plot.

“Ironheart, coined by Joe Quesada, after I told him my planned story for Riri, speaks not only to the soul of the character but to the Iron Man franchise as a whole. Tony first put on the armor to save his heart. Riri puts it on for different reasons altogether but still heart-related. When people see her story, you’ll be amazed at how simple and brilliant Joe’s suggestion was,” he told the news site.

Williams, a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was first introduced in Invincible Iron Man #7 when she reverse-engineered one of Stark’s old iron suits. Stark discovered her brilliance when she engineered her own armored suit inside her dormitory.

Although Stark will not appear in most of the comic frames, William’s armor will be drawn from Stark’s macho and dexterous personality. Editor Tom Breevort told to the news site: “Regardless of where he might be physically, he’ll be soaring along with her spiritually.” Stefano Caselli will illustrate the series.

Williams will debut in her role in Invincible Iron Man #1, which will be released in November.
