design competition for a public toilet was announced on Monday, which aimed to promote healthier and more environment-focused public toilet facilities.
"This competition wants to provide a solution for the government for a good toilet, especially in tourist areas," said Indonesian Toilet Association (ATI) head Naning Adiwoso as quoted by Antara news agency.

The designs compiled through the contest is said will be used by the Tourism, Environment and Forestry, and Transportation ministries to create hygienic and eco-friendly public toilets.
Offering a total prize of Rp 300 million (US$22,501), the competition consists of six categories, which include design for public toilets in mountain and beach areas, tourism destinations, traditional markets and airports.
The contest is open for entries until Feb. 28, 2017. (fmn/kes)
