elompok Penerbang Rocket (KPR) has set a national record as the first rock band to record a live performance at the Jakarta Art Building in Central Jakarta.
In concert on Sunday titled A Night at Schouwburg, band members John "Coki" Paul Patton, Ray Marshall and Viki Vikranta opened the show in the building's Schouwburg Weltevreden Theater with a cover of Panbers's "Djakarta City Sound," kompas.com reported.
The historical venue has in the past held theater performances, classical music concerts and traditional art performances.

KPR offered up its own brand of rock by performing "Hujan Badai" (Rain Storm) and "Target Operasi" (Operation Target), before continuing on with "Neraka Jahanam" (Damned Hell) and "Pencarter Roket" (Rocket Charter), which were made popular by Duo Kribo.
"This is the first time Kelompok Penerbang Roket performed in a place this cool. Thank you Schouwburn for inviting us to experience this stage, which is very old. [Built] in the year 1821, right?" Coki said during the band’s performance.
The trio also performed "Cekipe," "Beringin Tua" (Old Banyan Tree), "Bimbang" (Anxious) and "Ragu" (Doubt) to a rousing audience. (liz/kes)
