BLACKPINK's very first Seoul concert over the weekend drew mixed reactions.

Many fans appeared to have loved the two days of concerts in the South Korean capital, as the four-piece girl group filled up the 10,000-strong venue.

“Today was amazing, BLACKPINK. Also Jennie’s solo performance was really great,” one concertgoer said on web portal Naver.

But others said the concert did not fully satisfy their strong appetite for the group’s original songs. With just 10 songs under its belt, BLACKPINK has yet to release a full studio album.

“Although I’m not an anti-fan, it does seem a little extreme that the same songs were sung for the sake of filling time,” one comment read in response to an online review critical of the shows.

The group sang “Whistle”, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” and “Stay” twice in full during the concert, a rare move for a concert.

A lengthy guest appearance by Seungri from Big Bang also raised some eyebrows. “What kind of guest sings four songs at someone else’s concert?” read another comment.

BLACKPINK’s members are set to release individual singles, with Jennie putting out her single “Solo” on Monday.
