'Toy Story 4' introduces new character in teaser trailer
A teaser trailer for "Toy Story 4" was released on Monday, showing the series' beloved characters and a new one named Forky.

Pixar released a teaser trailer for Toy Story 4 on Nov. 12.
The trailer shows some of the series’ beloved characters – Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm the Piggy Bank, Alien and Slinky Dog – going in a circle hand-in-hand. However, a new character is also in the circle, holding Woody’s hand and Slinky Dog’s tail.
The character is a spork named Forky. It is a toy made out of a disposable spork by Bonnie, the human girl from Toy Story 3 who received Andy’s toys. Forky, voiced by actor Tony Hale, seems distressed in the trailer, breaking the circle while screaming “I don’t belong here!”.
Director Josh Cooley explained to Entertainment Weekly that Forky is in a crisis.
“He wants to fulfill his purpose as a spork, but now has a new toy purpose thrust upon him,” Josh said.

An official synopsis of Toy Story 4 states, "A road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."
Toy Story 4 is the fourth entry in the Toy Story series, following the successful Toy Story 3, which grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. The film is set to be released on Jun. 21, 2019. (iru/wng)
