Kangen Band to release new album

JAKARTA: Kangen Band have composed a song titled Kisah Seorang Pelacur (The Story of a Prostitute), which will feature on their new album to be released this month.
The song -- one of 12 tracks on the band's second album -- was inspired by a love affair between the band's guitarist, Dodhy, and a sex worker.
Dodhy said he wrote the song to turn his experience into an unforgettable memory.
The members of Kangen Band composed the songs for their new album in between concerts around the country.
"We created the songs after returning from concerts to our home base in Cibubur," Dodhy was quoted as saying by Antara news agency Friday.
The other members of the band are Andika (vocalist), Tama (guitarist), Bebe (bassist), Iim (drummer), Izzy (keyboardist) and Eren (backing vocalist).
The musicians were reportedly local youths from poor families in Lampung, Sumatra, before the successful release of their first album, Tentang Aku, Kau dan Dia (About Me, You and Him), which sold 500,000 copies.--JP
