Your opinions on what Muslims should learn during the fasting month, which commences Saturday.

Be charitable and perform good deeds during this holy month. Avoid saying obscene things and always remember Allah everywhere and at all times.

Ramadan is the most wonderful time of the year for all Muslims. People give, pray and help those who are in need.

However, we often forget the substance of the fasting month - we eat less but we shop like crazy.

The aim of fasting is not only to refrain from eating, drinking and smoking. The most important thing is to find how we to get closer to Allah, how we see ourselves and learn what we can do to be a better person after Ramadan is over.

Ramadan is not the opportunity to buy lots of food and clothes, but it's training for the next 11 months. Hopefully, we can be a better person after Ramadan.

Happy fasting everyone, May Allah bless us always.
