AKARTA: Indonesian pop diva Krisdayanti has finally admitted her affair with Timor Leste businessman Raul Lemos, after months of speculation in the media, but has also decided to end the relationship.

“I apologize to Raul’s wife. I apologize for my mistakes,” said Krisdayanti who has released nine solo albums, as quoted by detik.com on Sunday.

The 35-year-old singer claimed that she had ended the affair when she found out Raul was still married. “At first he said he was a widower.”

But Krisdayanti refused to admit that the affair triggered her divorce with singer-cum-song writer Anang Hermansyah. “I was with Raul after the divorce,” she insisted.

Raul told reporters on Monday that he was divorced. “Based on Timor Leste law, I am divorced.”

Ata, Raul’s wife, has reportedly filed a report with the Jakarta Police against Krisdayanti on Tuesday for having an affair with her husband. — JP
