akarta: Prominent lawyer Mohammad Assegaf, who represented the former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), chief Antasari Azhar, is trying his luck at acting, by playing the role of teenage girl’s father.

Assegaf will play in 3 Hati, Dua Dunia, Satu Cinta (3 Hearts, Two Worlds, One Love) alongside teenage star Arumi Bachsin.

Although he has only taken part in a four-day shoot, Assegaf said he was happy to escape his job as a lawyer, and felt the stress of daily work disappear when acting.

“I see another world. This world is more glamorous. There’s a lot of beautiful and handsome people. I’m Arumi’s father. I feel so bored with my job right now,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.

He received the offer to star in the movie when Antasari was sentenced to 18 years in prison for masterminding the murder of businessman Nasruddin Zulkarnaen. — JP
