ANUR: Balthasar Kambuaya, the new Environment Minister, said that he would complete 10 environment-related cases within the first 100 days. The number of cases on record is 92.
“We can’t complete everything right away. In the first 100 days, I will try to complete at least 10 cases,” he said after the opening of the 2011 National Climate Change Summit in Sanur, Bali.
He told news portal kompas.com that the environment-related cases included cases on coal and pollution. Since he had been appointed as the new minister, he said that he had been holding consolidation meetings in the ministry.
He said that there were three targets in the first 100 days. First was to put environment-related regulations into action. Second, improving pro environment efforts and lastly to improve service on information and bureaucracy reform in the ministry.
