AKARTA: The Cempaka Putih police precinct suspects that a warden allegedly helped to distribute marijuana in the Salemba detention center in Central Jakarta.

Police made the allegations after questioning a number of witnesses. A warden, identified as N, is currently undergoing questioning, local officer Adj. Comr. Ghozali Luhulima said as quoted by tempo.co. “He delivered the marijuana from a supplier to Rusli, an inmate,” he alleged.

During the investigation, police allegedly found two grams of crystal meth in the warden’s clothes. It is not known if the warden will be accused of planning to consume the narcotics himself or to give it to inmates. Police raided the detention center on Thursday and allegedly found around a kilogram of marijuana in Rusli’s cell. Rusli allegedly told police that the warden helped him acquire it.
