ika Kato Mahendra, the wife of Crescent Star Party (PBB) advisory board chairman-cum-prominent state law expert Yusril Ihza Mahendra, voted Wednesday for the first time.
The Filipino cast her ballot after recently securing Indonesian citizenship, kompas.com reported.
She and her husband voted in polling station (TPS) 004 in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
When asked by her husband if she was nervous, she replied: "No, I am not," as quoted by kompas.com.
Rika, 24, had to show a copy of her family card to the TPS team as she was not listed as an eligible voter.
Yusril said he would not be following the progress of the election counts. "I will spend some time with my wife," he said. (nfo)
