The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed down at the close of Monday's trading, falling by 0.18 percent to 4,963.92.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed 152 traded stocks went down in the afternoon, while 112 stocks strengthened and 103 stocks remained unchanged, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of transactions involved 4.48 billion shares worth Rp 4.2 trillion (US$361.2 million), which was fairly slow trading given the two public holidays this week.
Meanwhile, the biggest losers on the LQ45 index during the closing session were PT Gudang Garam (GGRM), PT AKR Corporindo (AKRA), PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Negara (BTPN) and PT Hexindo Adiperkasa (HEXA).
In contrast, PT Maskapai Reasuransi Indonesia (MREI), PT Tifico Fiber Indonesia (TFCO) and PT Yanaprima Hastapersada (YPAS) ending Monday's trading session as the index's biggest gainers.(nfo)
