motorcycle thief was beaten to death in West Cikarang,Bekasi in West Java on Monday after locals caught him trying to steal amotorcycle.

'€œThe thief was trying to steal a motorcycle parked in front of a car repair shop with the keys still in its ignition. When the owner saw that the thief was trying to take his vehicle, he shouted at the thief,'€ Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told reporters on Monday.

Locals heard the owner'€™s cry for help and chased down the thief. They eventually apprehended him and beat him to death.

Currently, the police are still trying to identify the thief. Police did not say whether they would investigate the killing.
