e hereby wish to clarify that the use of the description 'one-time graft convict' for Romli Atmasasmita in the third paragraph of the news story entitled 'Govt under scrutiny as it picks KPK screening team members' on page 4 of the April 6 edition of The Jakarta Post, and a similar term in the title of the news story headlined 'Ex-graft convict to lead screening team' on page 8 of the April 30 edition, were inappropriate.
In December 2010, a Supreme Court verdict overturned his sentence.
We, therefore, express our deepest apology to Romli Atmasasmita for the inconvenience caused by the use of the inappropriate terms above.
