Greater Jakarta: Jakpro director replaced

J

akarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama replaced the president director of city-owned developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Abdul Hadi, on Wednesday with Satya Heragandhi, former vice president director of mining equipment company PT Sanggar Sarana Baja.

Ahok said the change was made in the hope that Satya would be able to accelerate the development of the city’s Light Rapid Transit (LRT) project, which has been delayed for several months.

“Before working in Sanggar Sarana Baja, he [Satya] worked for state-owned railway company PT KAI. We want to focus more on the LRT,” Ahok said on Wednesday. “We previously chose Abdul because we wanted to focus on merging stocks into a holding company. However, we could not realize the plan. Hence, we have to replace the president director again.”

Ahok said that as the biggest shareholder in the company the city administration had the right to remove the Jakpro president director without an extraordinary shareholders meeting.
