inja Express, the local unit of Singapore-based logistic company Ninja Van, has launched Ninja Easy, Indonesia’s first logistics service app for social media-based e-commerce.
Indra Wiralaksmana, Ninja Express country head, said the app facilitated sellers by creating a “Link Ninja Easy”, which allowed a seller to share the details of goods on any social media platform. Buyers could then order by clicking the link and providing their address for delivery.
“The Ninja Easy app is offering a new way to take care of logistics problems,” he said on Tuesday.
After an order has been confirmed, a seller can use the on-demand app to ask a Ninja Easy courier to pick up the goods at a maximum of 90 minutes after order confirmation. It only applies cash on delivery (COD) payment to avoid trust issues and fraud.
“The app not only benefits the social media-based seller but also the customer as they don’t have to worry about deceit when dealing with social commerce,” Indra said, adding that the buyer could refuse to pay if the goods delivered were not as displayed.
However, the service coverage is currently limited to Jakarta-based sellers, with delivery service limited to 35 cities. (ahmad bayuny/ags)
