Gran Melia Jakarta named capital's 'best' hotel

Among the many hotels of the capital, one particular establishment has been named Jakarta's Best City Hotel.
The Gran Melia Jakarta in South Jakarta clinched the accolade during the 27th TTG Travel Awards 2016 in Bangkok in late September.
The award was based on assessments by readers of TTG Travel Trade Publishing’s print and online publications. The Gran Melia reportedly came out on top in the overall assessment across several criteria, such as best services and facilities, best added benefits and best professional sales and marketing.

The TTG Travel Awards started in 1989 and is considered a prestigious event for the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry.
This is the third time for Gran Melia Jakarta to receive such an award. The five-star hotel's general manager Ruth Abellan said in a press release, “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we have succeeded in providing an excellent service to our valued guests, and this award becomes our motivation to make more great efforts to serve our guests."
