For the rich and famous passing through the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), time spent there will no longer be a hassle.
Opening on May 15, LAX will have its very own VIP terminal, dubbed The Private Suite. There, members will have everything from their own TSA security line to a BMW 7-Series sedan that drives them to their plane.
Most importantly, as The Private Suite website points out, they won’t have to deal with paparazzi.
When travelers utilize The Private Suite, they’ll be assigned an eight-person staff to lead them to their private suite, complete with private bathroom, stocked pantry, two-person daybed and direct views of the airport runways.

The website also brags that their users will only take 70 steps between getting out of their car and getting onto the plane, while the typical number of steps for the rest of us sits at 2,200.
While there are similar terminals in the Dubai, London and Munich airports, The Private Suite is the first of its kind in the United States as reported by Travel + Leisure. This type of living does not come cheap. Currently, the cost is US$2,700 for domestic flights and $3,000 for international group members, and membership itself is priced at $7,500 per year. (sul/kes)
