University of Northampton prepares students
for future career

Sena Aukharina from Indonesia, who is pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science in International Study, says, “I like to study in the University of Northampton because they provide a scholarship before I came here,” she says, adding, “the Campus buildings are very modern.”

Ifeadi Phillnelson Kenechukwu from Nigeria, for example, notes that the technology in the buildings and library has impressed him much, “They really support my study.”

Junie Huang from China, majoring in Business and Management, remarks, “What I like most about Northampton because it is new, free WiFi and it’s really safe here. I can share with my classmate. We cook together in a kitchen,” he points out.

Chances are high that other Indonesian young people will be able to realize their dream of furthering study in University of Northampton as it provides a scholarship program for international students.

According to UON, the scholarships awarded to candidates that will undertake undergraduate and post graduate degree are between 10 percent and up to 30 percent, depending on how well you have done in high school or in your bachelor’s degree.

What will make you at ease is that you don’t have to apply for the scholarship as this is confirmed once UON has reviewed and accepted your application documents.

UON also has a list of country education agents who can assist you with the application process if necessary.

On top of that, UON has extra discounts on accommodation (in the Student Village) available to Indonesian students who need to complete UK government quarantine requirement under current travel circumstances. These travel requirements are changing and updated regularly, and all students are advised to check the latest arrangements before travel.

So, if you enroll at University of Northampton, but have financial constraints, the scholarship can be helpful if you are highly motivated and have a high academic performance.

You can start your studies with UON as soon as in January 2022.

Currently, UON is offering January start dates for a wide range of 1-year Master’s degrees in different subjects like Management, Finance, Marketing, Health, Engineering, and Computer Science.

To be eligible for a Master’s degree you need to have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree and have successfully passed a recognized English test. Accepted English language tests are listed on UON’s website. If you cannot find one of these tests locally, please contact the International Office at UON and they may be able to offer you an alternative test.

Many of UON’s Master’s degrees also come with the option of an extra 1-year paid work placement in order for you to gain valuable work experience in the UK.

Once you successfully graduate you are also eligible for a visa extension, allowing you to stay in the UK for a further 2 years.

If, for one reason or another, you cannot join start dates in January, UON also offers start dates in May and September 2022.

Safety and security

While the world continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, you will find the everyday life in the UK has returned to normal, with all COVID-19-related restrictions removed. UON will provide face-to-face learning but continue to have safeguards in place, with plenty of hand sanitizer, and regular cleaning of all facilities. UON has a free health center on campus where you can meet with nurses and the campus doctor if you have any health concerns during your studies.

Once you have applied and accepted your offer, UON ensures that you have all the information you need to arrive in the UK and arrive at the University with the minimum fuss possible.

On campus, you will have access to helpful professionals in the International Office, International Student Services department, and Students Union, who are there to ensure you have a trouble free time at the university.

UON is fortunate to have plenty of accommodation for all of its students from the UK and across the world. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, offering you your own single bedroom with a private bathroom. Shared kitchens are spacious, laundry facilities are available, and its accommodation is subject to 24-hour security. Female only accommodation is available upon request.
