he Indonesian government, through the Directorate General of Immigration, is opening up registration for the Issuance of Indonesian Government Recommendation Letters (SRPI), which is a document needed to get work and holiday visas for Australia.
This program is part of a bilateral partnership on immigration between the Indonesian and Australian governments that has been ongoing since 2009.
Applicants can download the necessary files by using an e-SRPI application via whv.imigrasi.go.id. This application for work and holiday visas is the latest innovation by the directorate to realize its goal of providing e-government services.
The government has established a quota of 1,000 applicants who will be selected through both online and face-to-face administrative processes. There are also terms and conditions for getting a visa, which are in accordance with agreements made between the two countries.
These work and holiday visas can be used for temporary stays in Australia. It can also be used for other purposes, such as education and part-time employment.
The visas are being promoted to encourage and boost cultural exchanges as well as to maintain relations, especially among the youth. The goal is for Indonesians and Australians to get to know one another and to understand each other's cultures and traditions.
