Marriott International expands its portfolio in Indonesia with new openings in 2025

arriott International is set to expand its portfolio in Indonesia in 2025 to further enrich the region’s travel landscape with new properties that will cater to the preferences of today’s discerning travelers.

The new properties will include The Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa in Nirup Island, Riau Islands to be opened in the second quarter of 2025; Fairfield by Marriott Bekasi and Four Points by Sheraton Bekasi, both in Bekasi, West Java in the second quarter and third quarter respectively; Four Points by Sheraton Pontianak in Pontianak, West Kalimantan; and Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai in Kuta, Bali in the second quarter.

The Aloft brand is also set to open Aloft Jakarta Kebon Jeruk in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta and Aloft Surabaya, Pakuwon City in Surabaya, East Jakarta, both in the third quarter of 2025.

Marriott Bonvoy said in a statement that these upcoming openings will offer tailored experiences that resonate with the needs of modern travelers. From serene island retreats to dynamic city escapes, these hotels will blend world-class hospitality with authentic local charm to create unforgettable stays.

He further noted, “Guided by our growth strategy, a dedication to personalized service, the award-winning benefits of the Marriott Bonvoy program and strong collaborations with local partners, we are excited to introduce a collection of remarkable new hotels that will embody this, setting new benchmarks in hospitality, comfort and authentic guest experiences.”

The Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa as the fifth Westin property in Indonesia is a restorative sanctuary where guests can recharge amid the breathtaking beauty of Nirup Island.

Seamlessly blending nature with wellness, the idyllic resort is just a short ferry ride from Singapore’s Harbourfront Terminal or Harbour Bay Batam, ensuring effortless access to an exclusive island escape.

Thoughtfully designed with wellness at its core, The Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa will feature 146 accommodations, including 94 guestrooms and suites, along with 52 private villas ranging from one to three bedrooms, offering a tranquil setting for renewal and relaxation.

Fairfield by Marriott Bekasi and Four Points by Sheraton Bekasi is strategically located within the vibrant Pakuwon Mall Bekasi complex.

Housed within an innovative dual-hotel structure, guests can choose the accommodation that best aligns with their travel needs.

Fairfield by Marriott Bekasi will feature 166 thoughtfully designed guestrooms and suites, embodying the brand’s commitment to delivering a warm, effortless and productive stay.

Meanwhile, Four Points by Sheraton Bekasi will offer 242 stylish rooms and suites, blending contemporary design with genuine, uncomplicated service – complete with the brand’s signature Best Brews™, providing a taste of local craft beers.

Perfectly positioned for connectivity, the hotels offer direct access to Bekasi’s largest premium shopping destination, Pakuwon Mall, and are conveniently linked to major highways, Bekasi Barat LRT station, and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

Four Points by Sheraton Pontianak will bring the brand’s signature blend of stylish comfort, genuine service and modern essentials to the heart of the province’s capital.

Designed for today’s independent travelers, the hotel will offer 196 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites, featuring plush beds, productive workspaces and intuitive amenities that ensure a comfortable stay perfectly suited for business and social gatherings.

Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai is ideally situated just 10 minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel will offer ease of access to Bali’s renowned beaches, vibrant nightlife, diverse culinary scene and premier shopping destinations.

Designed for the modern traveler, Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai will feature 166 thoughtfully appointed guestrooms and suites, each crafted to deliver a relaxed and productive experience. Whether guests are visiting for business or leisure, they will enjoy inviting spaces that reflect Fairfield’s promise of a simple yet elevated stay.

Meanwhile, Aloft Jakarta Kebon Jeruk will mark the brand’s fifth property in the country, introducing 150 sleek and stylish rooms in a prime location northwest of Jakarta’s Central Business District, just 25 kilometers from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

With a modern ballroom and flexible meeting spaces, Aloft Jakarta Kebon Jeruk offers a fresh and unconventional alternative to traditional venues.

Later in the year, Aloft Surabaya, Pakuwon City will make its highly anticipated debut as the brand’s first hotel in Surabaya and the sixth Aloft in Indonesia with 233 rooms in the thriving Pakuwon City Township in West Surabaya.

Marriott Bonvoy said that with these exciting openings, it continues to push boundaries and redefine hospitality in Indonesia, delivering an energetic and experience-driven stay for today’s modern traveler. Currently Marriott International operates over 75 properties across Indonesia.
