s the world moves forward from the pandemic, so too does the public’s sense of mobility, whether it’s wanderlust or day-to-day commuting.
Avid users of public transportation will likely have noticed the return of rush hour traffic, both on the roads and in their transportation of choice. A number of companies have also re-implemented a work-from-office policy, further emphasizing the need for efficient transportation.
In the not-too-distant past, work trips were usually complicated affairs: the employee must either request expenses in advance or pay out of pocket for the trip, then submitting the receipt for administrative and/or reimbursement purposes.
With the rise of technology, both companies and employees benefit from a more seamless experience, done with a few taps on the screen.
Online-based transportation, for example, allows the user to get an estimate of the trip’s costs and time of arrival while also offering real-time tracking of the trip progress. After arriving, the receipt is automatically sent to the user’s email address, providing further ease and convenience.
Even so, employees still have to submit the receipt along with other information and forms to the relevant department for reimbursement, particularly for those who don’t have a separate account for personal and professional use. While a step more convenient, the process is still not as seamless as could be.
Gojek, one of the key players in the industry, offers enterprise customers an integrated solution for employee mobility with its GoCorp service.
GoCorp is equipped with a dashboard that allows the operator to check all of the trip activities and details in real-time, which includes all Gojek services such as GoCar, GoRide and GoCar L.
As every activity can be directly monitored, reimbursement is now a thing of the past as each employee has direct access to the company’s budget pool for transportation.
While there is no maximum or minimum spending required for GoCorp, the company can alsocontrol the maximum budget limit for its trips and services, making it ideal even for MSMEs as there is no deposit needed for the service. At the same time, new onboarded companies can get one year’s worth of free management fees.
In terms of operations, GoCorp users will benefit from a hassle-free experience. In the regular GoRide or GoCar ordering process, users will simply need to select GoCorp as their preferred payment method among other methods such as cash or GoPay.
For better tracking, the company can also set a trip purpose for every ride, where employees will be required to explain the trip’s relevance and importance to their activity before booking. What is more, both employees and the company will be able to see their limit, allowing them to prioritize trips and calculate overall costs.
As the real-time dashboard also displays all trips and activities, companies can also digitally monitor employee trips to prevent misuse beyond company policy, including budget usage for toll and parking fees. Certain regulations can be put in place to limit trips based on parameters like time and place, such as only allowing trips to and from a certain location at certain hours of the day.
Currently, GoCorp covers 162 cities across Indonesia, served by Gojek’s driver-partners who are available anytime and anywhere, accessible with a few taps through the app.
