omedy to horror, Brianne Howey is mastering the art of doing it all with the release of the second season of I Live with Models. After many cameo roles in movies such as Horrible Bosses, Scream Queens and The Odd Couple, Howey found that she is able to break from one part to another with ease.
The 27-year-old star has just finished the filming of The Exorcist television series, which was filmed simultaneously with the second season of I Live with Models.
“After working for two months on something, it is nice to get a change, and with The Exorcist and I Live with Models on opposite ends of the spectrum it was fun. I really appreciate change,” she said in a recent interview.
Season two of I Live with Models, which will air in Indonesia on Feb. 18, will still follow Tommy (David Hoffman) and Scarlet (Howey) as they move to New York to make it big in the modeling world. The biggest challenge for the two main actors in the new season is living with a new group of people in New York including; Marshall (Karan Soni) a manager who is just as naive as they are, Jess (Lydia Rose Bewley) an ambitious and self-promoting plus-size model, Molly (Kamilla Alnes) a runway model who fell into the industry and doesn’t know how to live away from home.
When Howey heard the plan about the second season of I Live with Models, she was ecstatic to see the continuation of her character Scarlet, a model who wants to break from her stereotypical girl-next-door look and make it in New York.

“I feel like I can relate to Scarlet, because she is very ambitious and she is a type A personality, also a little bit of a control freak,” she said.
While filming, Howey felt she was sent back to her high school days, when she discovered her interest in acting. The actress attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a major in theater. This was the point at which she realized acting was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
Howey said she enjoyed filming I Live with Models, as she had a cast that loved to improvise and a director who encouraged improvisation during the rehearsal.
Such a learning process had helped her create bonds with other characters, including new ones.
“We really pushed ourselves to find a rhythm at every scene, while still staying true to our characters, especially with characters in season two. It was fun to have a cast that was half old and half new and finding a bond with new characters,” she said.
I Live with Models is filmed in London, and Howey has been able to enjoy the big, cold city for both seasons.
“London is such a wonderful place to live, and for season one it was winter, so obviously it was much colder. I loved the diversity and the fact that I could get around walking and by public transport,” she said.
During breaks, Howey said, she enjoyed being able to walk the streets after a long day of filming and go home to enjoy the shows she enjoys.
“I have been watching a lot more darker stuff, lately but my favorites are documentaries, and I think I like when things are grounded on real life and people and characters that you can relate to,” she said.
With the Indonesian release of the second season of I Live with Models, Howey is excited about what is to come.
“I Live with Models has such an incredible international fan base, and I think that I really enjoy a comedy role. I am really happy and fortunate to be in the show,” she said.
