ctors Rano Karno, Cornelia Agatha and Mandra along with other cast members and crew of Si Doel The Movie departed for the Netherlands on Tuesday.
“Bismillah SI DOEL THE MOVIE is departing for the Netherlands,” Rano posted on his Instagram account, as reported by kompas.com on Wednesday.
In a press conference on Sunday, Rano said the movie would follow a love triangle between Doel, Zaenab and Sarah who are the main characters of the Si Doel Anak Sekolahan television series.

“In the series, Sarah went to the Netherlands after leaving Doel. He should have followed her, but he lacked the money. This is what I intend to answer in the movie,” Rano said.
He added that the shoot would take 10 days in the Netherlands.
The Si Doel Anak Sekolahan series lasted for seven seasons, starting from 1994 until 2004. It was based on Si Doel Anak Betawi, a classic novel by Aman Datuk Madjoindo that was published in 1932. In 1972, it was made into a film, which was directed by Sumandjaja, under the same name. (wng)
