As compiled by Insider, here are vitamins and minerals that could help manage anxiety:
Magnesium
A study published in 2012 discovered a connection between lack of magnesium and anxiety levels in mice. Hence, people are advised to consume greens and nuts to fulfill their magnesium intake.
Zinc
The effect of zinc on anxiety symptoms has been discussed in various research. Although some studies showed that zinc is impactful in lessening such symptoms when being experimented in male rats, further studies are still required. In our daily lives, zinc can be found in beef and cashews.
Calcium
Calcium is said to lower stress hormone cortisol, which is often linked to anxiety. Aside from dairy products, calcium can also be obtained from green vegetables.
Omega-3
Apart from lowering cholesterol levels, omega-3 fatty acids are also beneficial in managing anxiety. Fish like salmon and tuna are known as the sources of omega-3 fatty acids that can be included in your diets.
