AKARTA: Psychological testing of sex cult leader Agus Imam Solichin indicated that he is not mentally ill, Jakarta Police said Tuesday.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Zulkarnain said the test results meant Agus - currently detained for sexual abuse and blasphemy - could be charged.
The Jakarta Police medical and health division tested Agus on Sunday.
The leader of the sex cult Satrio Piningit Weteng Buwono, which allegedly practiced group sex rituals, surrendered to the police last week, saying he was worried about his safety following intense media reports about the cult.
The cult came under public scrutiny after a former member, Kusmana, filed a complaint against Agus to the police.
Police have questioned 13 witnesses - one a staff member from the Religious Affairs Ministry and 12 former members of the cult.
Police told reporters that Agus instructed his followers to perform sexual intercourse in front of him.
